The Go to Market team manages the MITRE Engenuity brand, messaging, and campaigns to align with MITRE processes and positioning while driving results for MITRE Engenuity, our programs, and our partners.
The Go-to-Market Team is seeking an experienced WordPress dev who is passionate about beautifully written code and accessible web experiences, to dive into the development and deployment of our websites, plugins, and UI features.
As a WordPress Developer, you’ll work collaboratively within the Go-to-Market Digital Presence team to build custom, brand compliant, accessible websites, with thoughtful user experiences for both admins and end users. You will optimize code within the code base, assist with implementation and deployment, and partner on QA testing and bug-fixing. Your input will help determine appropriate tools, methods, and solutions for projects, bridging design, development, and production of websites.
The position requires strong organizational and time management skills as individuals work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects. Successful candidates must be hands-on but also strategic, with excellent communication skills.

+ Passion for developing clean, semantic, optimized code for maximum speed, scalability, and effect for various devices, operating systems, and browsers.
+ Eagerness to ensure websites are WCAG and W3C compliant.
+ Experience using atomic design principles to produce reusable code blocks.
+ Proven ability to create well-structured and maintainable WordPress site themes from scratch.
+ Experience using a high-level of specificity to target elements for CSS and JS.
+ Experience building Custom Post Types using CPT UI and Advanced Custom Fields.
+ Proficiency in developing WordPress plugins to support custom site functionality and integrations.
+ Experience conducting website performance tests.
+ Skilled at optimizing websites for mobile users.
+ Extensive experience working with project-based teams.
+ Collaborative with designers, marketers, and content producers on projects to meet business needs.
+ Comfortable running with high-level requirements and helping break them down into finer detail, filling in gaps as necessary.

+ B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
+ 5-8 years of experience.
+ Extensive knowledge of the WordPress core codebase

+ Front-end UI implementation
+ Custom WordPress theme and plugin development
+ WordPress REST API
+ WP CLI
+ Apache or Nginx webserver
+ Networking knowledge

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$103,500 – $129,500 – $155,500 Annual
