Position Summary

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field

Experience

The desired candidate should have approximately 2+ years of experience in Web Development with an emphasis on the majority of the following areas.
• Web Technologies : HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Drupal, , , AJAX, Bootstrap, Material UI, Tabulator etc. Experience with caching data and managing resources using the Redux framework desired.
• Progressive Web Application (PWA): Ability to design a website frontend that is responsive, progressive and compatible to various sizes of browsing devices. Experience with configuring service workers desired but not required.
• HTTP request method : familiarity on building RESTful APIs using , or python.
• Database and SQL : experience with MySQL or NoSQL databases and database querying.
• Teamwork: experience working with version control (Git preferred) and participating in Agile (Scrum) development. Good and clear commitment and tagging history to prove ability in collaborating with other developers.
• Containerize: proficient in designing deployment pipelines using containerized technology such as docker and managing the automation, deployment and scaling using Kubernetes. Experience in managing a remote docker repository and integrating it in the deployment pipeline.
• Security and vulnerability management : experience with security and vulnerability check for the containerized image and ability to keep packages up to date in the web application and fixing the potential vulnerabilities are highly critical.
• Accessibility and performance optimization: familiarity with the WCAG principles and experience with optimizing web performance and accessibility using supporting tools such as Lighthouse.

What You Will Be DoingThe ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who will work in coordination with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain our next generation websites and web tools. You must be comfortable working as part of a team while taking the initiative to take lead on new innovations and projects.

Skills:
– Front-end technology: Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, jQuery.
– Development languages: Extensive knowledge of server-side programming languages including PHP (Must have at least 3 years experience).
– Database and cache: Familiarity with RDS DBMS technology, including SQLServer and MySQL and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached and Varnish
– Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design
– Server: Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux. AWS experience working with EC2s, S3 buckets and load balancers.
– Excellent writing and communication skills
– Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it
– Amazon Web Services certifications or 3-5 years experience using the interface.
– Highly proficient in building REST APIs using PHP and Composer
